Voltage regulator
This project gave me a better way to use the 5V and 3.3V regulators as a part of future projects, without having to set up the breadboard circuitry each time. I used 3 100-microfarad capacitors, 2 voltage regulators, a screw jack and a barrel jack. The barrel jack delivers 12V DC, the screw jack outputs 12 V DC, and the two pins on the left and right set the left and right power rails to 5V and 3.3V.
I used KiCAD to create the proper schematics and eventually PCBs. Another sticking point for me came up in finding the correct footprints. If an error is made during this step it can be catastrophic to the board and require a re-order, so I made sure to measure out the distances between the pins to ensure everything would fit upon arrival.
Once the PCB arrived, I soldered the components to the board, completing the PCB!
