Electric Screwdriver

This model was part of a Product Teardown project, which involved working with a group to assemble various parts. The project also included a Task Analysis, Product Decomposition, Function Structure, and other essential Product Teardown processes. It was a large undertaking and creating every part in CAD over the course of a month was a great challenge in time management and group leadership.

Juicer

This project was instrumental in developing my ability to assemble parts accurately, selecting the proper mates and orientations to ensure the mechanism functioned as intended when the juicer handle was operated.

Pumpkin

This Halloween CAD challenge was a great opportunity to practice sweeping geometries to create an unusual curved exterior. I also learned more about applying textures and appearances, gaining insight into techniques for adding realism in CAD

Mug

Designing the mug provided good practice with the Revolved Boss/Base feature for the body and Swept Boss/Base for the handle. One challenge I faced was ensuring the initial angle of the handle sweep wasn’t too sharp, as this would reduce the cross-sectional area along the handle, impacting its appearance.

Support base

Designing the support base introduced me to the hole wizard tool and helped me build on the extrusion and sketching basics I had learned in earlier projects

Lego Brick

This was one of my first CAD projects and was crucial in teaching me the basics of 3D CAD, including extrusions and linear sketch patterns.
